My site offers a small selection of my current work. I hope that while you are browsing my online galleries you find textile art that inspires you. Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing any piece or if you would like to see more of my work.
The driving force behind my artwork is the pleasure that I get from doing it; if I am able to please others that makes the work even more enjoyable. My artwork takes the form of a quilt and is designed to hang on your walls. I use a variety of fabrics from cotton to silks and will occasionally use fabrics that were created by other artists.
I just recently returned from Beijing, China. I was invited there by the China Fashion and Color Association for the 2015 China International Patchwork Invational Tournament and Patchworks Arts Show. I was honored to be invited to judge the Tournament portion of the show and give a talk on the Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA). Besides myself there were five other SAQA members invited. They were Sue Dennis of Australia, Mary Pal of Canada, Pat Gould of the United States, Lin Hsin-Chen of Tiawan, Misik Kim of S. Korea, Jin Yuanshan of China. Also invited was Rosie Chan of Hong Kong. I am working hard to convience her to become a SAQA member. It was a wonderful trip with a chance to see patchwork and art quilts from a different viewpoint.
See my work in 1000 Artisan Textiles Sandra Salomony and Gina M. Brown. Congratulations and a big thank you to the authors for doing a wonderful job.
